‘Seaside Serenity' is a peaceful house located in a quiet cul-de-sac just a short walk from the beach, marina and local shops.
This expansive four bedroom home offers a variety of different living
areas as well as a spacious undercover outdoor entertaining spot over-looking the huge below ground pool.
The upstairs living area makes a perfect place for a relaxing drink at the end of the day while watching the sun going down over the ocean, and there is a small bar fridge below the sink to keep your sundowners cold. There is a new reverse cycle air- conditioner for your comfort here, and in order to minimise the carbon footprint of your stay please ensure that this is turned off when this area is not being used.
Guests are welcome to use the upstairs telescope, which is suitable for both land viewing as well as star gazing. It is user friendly and the instruction manual is in the cupboard by the bar fridge. In addition there are comfy couches to relax on, as well as a television and DVD player.
Please note that the stairs to this upstairs area are not suitable for children under the age of 4 to use without adult supervision. Please be aware that there is not a gate at the bottom of the stairs, and guests are responsible for the safety of infants and young children around the house.
Downstairs there are several more living spaces:
- the front room/conservatory (including a single sofa bed)
- the lounge room: containing a large comfortable couch, and a wide-screen TV, a DVD player and a selection of DVDs
- the central room under the stairs: with more couches plus a selection of board games, books and magazines.
- the dining room: with an elegant dining room table and chairs, seating 8.
- the kitchen area: with a fire-place and a large kitchen table and chairs, also seating 8.
All four bedrooms are downstairs and the bedding configuration is as follows:
- Bedroom 1: this is the main bedroom which has a queen bed and an ensuite. There is a heat lamp in the bathroom and an overhead fan in the bedroom.There is also an electric blanket in the bedroom cupboard which guests are welcome to use over the winter months.
- Bedroom 2: another queen bed. This room has a misting fan and plenty of cupboard space.
- Bedroom 3: 2 single beds and a large chest of draws plus a fan.
- Bedroom 4: 2 single bunks (sleeping 4 and only suitable for children). There is also a chest of draws in this room plus a fan.
The main bedroom has an ensuite, and for the other guests there is a second toilet as well as a separate bathroom with both a bath and a shower. Both the ensuite and the second bathroom have heat lamps for the cooler months.
The hot water system is by the laundry line, and will need to be turned on at the switch when you arrive. Please turn it off again at the end of your stay. If required the fuse box is located on the wall in the conservatory, next to the front door of the house.
All the windows in the bedrooms can be unlocked and opened to allow a breeze through the house, and opening the front door as well will facilitate this. Please remember to shut and lock all the windows that may have been opened before you leave.
Please note that bedding and towels are not provided, so please bring your own linen, towels, bath-mats and beach towels.
There are fans in all the bedrooms and additional fans for the living areas, including 3 misting fans. There are also overhead fans in the main bedroom and in the kitchen. There is only air-conditioning in the upstairs room.
The kitchen is well equipped and hopefully has all you need for your cooking and dining requirements, and there is a second fridge in the laundry if you need more fridge space. If there are any breakages during your stay then please just let me know so I can arrange replacements for future guests if required.
If you use the dishwasher then please ensure it is emptied at the end of your stay, or excess cleaning charges will apply.
For guests staying over the winter months, there is a wood fireplace in the kitchen, and wood/fire-lighters for this are also available at the local IGA. Once the fire has been established then plug the fireplace cable into the wall and turn it on to facilitate maximum heating of the kitchen and living spaces. The fireplace must be cleaned after use or excess cleaning fees will apply.
The kitchen leads out to the outside alfresco area and pool, and for pool safety reasons please ensure that the catch on the fly-screen/security sliding door into the kitchen is always in place, so that the door automatically pulls shut after use.
To open the door from the inside there is a black knob above the door handle that needs to be pressed in order to release the catch.
Please be aware that there is no additional pool-fence around the pool, so guests are responsible for ensuring that all children and anyone who is not able to swim do not have access to the alfresco area without supervision. All pool safety is the responsibility of guests.
Please be aware that the floor in the alfresco area near the pool can get very slippery when wet, so for safety reasons it is recommended that guests ensure that there is no running in this outside area after swimming.
The pool pump is on an automatic timer, and must not be interfered with.
Please ensure that water in the pool is topped up as needed using the hose attached to the outside of the kitchen wall, so that the pool is always full. If the water level drops too low then the pump and creepy crawly will not function. Please do not hesitate to call if you suspect any issues with the pool so they can be rectified immediately.
A washing machine and dryer are available for any laundry you may need to do, and clothes also dry very quickly on the outdoor line. There is an iron and ironing board available for guest use.
On the top shelf of the cupboard in the central room there is a box of complimentary replacement supplies such as batteries and lightbulbs, as well as a few things that you may need over the course of your stay (such as a sewing kit, matches, mosquito coils, screwdrivers/Allen keys etc.) Please do not put old batteries or lightbulbs back in the box, and if you do end up using something from this box then please just let me know so I can ensure that there are adequate supplies for future guests.
There are various glass and pottery ornaments in the house which may be inadvertently damaged and/or cause damage if handled by young children, so for safety reasons it is no problem for those items to be moved out of reach of little fingers as needed.
Please be aware that the carpeted areas need to be kept clean, and cleaning charges will apply if carpets get dirty during your stay. Mats are provided to wipe dirty or wet feet and there is a hose near the front door to use if needed.
The rubbish bins are located near the garage door or at the front of the house. For guests staying on Sunday night, please can you put the bin out in the evening as it will be emptied very early on Monday morning. For all other guests please put the bins out on the verge before you leave.
If bins are not put out as requested above a rubbish removal fee ($300) will apply to your booking.
Please bring the bin back up to near the garage for your convenience during your stay.
Please note that the garage is not available for guest use.
Parties are not allowed without exception and guest numbers will be checked. If a party is reported then a $500 penalty will apply to your stay, plus additional fees for any damages incurred as a result of this.

The local shops are an easy 10 minute walk away and there is also a selection of cafes and take-aways in the same place. Fishing tackle and bait can be purchased at the local IGA, and fishing from the marina is a popular activity.
The Yanchep Lagoon is a popular swimming spot, and is a short ten minute drive from the house. There is also a Woolworths and other shops in Yanchep if you require additional supplies not available from the local IGA.
