Summary: The Whaler is very conveniently located, right on the long beach, near restaurants and shops. Don't have to use your car unless needing additional groceries. Our unit had a supreme view of Black Rock. The grounds are very well kept and staff was excellent. The unit had very good furnishings on the lanai but interior needs an upgrade. Kitchen utensils and supplies were sparse, at best. Bathroom is outdated. Instructions for control of the TV's were totally wrong, very frustrating. Need accurate instructions. Overall, we will definitely come back to The Whaler but not to this unit unless it gets an update/upgrade.
