Positive: Very nice flat with well designed layout. Loved the window seats. Cinema room was very good. Easy access to gain key for entry. File with instructions was very helpful. Not very much to do in Stanhope but we had a car so travelled to Durham and High Force Waterfall. Both were easy to get to.
Negative: At first glance, the flat looked very clean but on further inspection, many power sockets, skirting, mirrors, windows, cinema room wall and outside patio door frame were very dusty or dirty. In the instruction book, we were asked to return cushions to the box for the outside shared patio area but someone had already left these out and they were wet so we couldn’t use this area. There was access to a coffee maker, dishwasher and washing machine, but no coffee pods, dishwasher tablets or washing powder were available. We would have liked even a few of each left or at least to have been notified to bring some with us. We were instructed to remove all rubbish to help the cleaners, which we did, but surely we should not have to do this when we have paid for our stay. On a main road which is busy. Traffic can be heard around the flat.
Summary: Nice place but could be cleaner.
