We are a very friendly, warm and accommadating family. Our house has three bedrooms, spacious living area and a delightful garden, We enjoy socialising with lots of outdoor activities. My son Sam,is very sociable and is a keen golfer and generally loves the outdoor living. I am a trained Primary school teacher and also a qualified TEFL teacher. I enjoy meeting people where I can share my culture and learn first hand about another cuture and language.
La Marina has 11km of golden sandy beaches, a town close to the cities of Elche and Alicante and just a short drive from the airport. To the north of La Marina is Santa Pola with it's miles of sandy beaches and a large town centre. La Marina has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants so you have plenty of facilities on your doorstep that you can easily walk to,including a yummy ice-cream parlour
Close by are attractions like the Rio Safari park, which has a wide range of animals on display and has swimming pools and water slides. There are also dolphin shows to watch. Two water parks are close by, in Quesada and Torrevieja Water Park Aquopolis.
A trip into the city of Alicante, where the best shopping area can be found, you can also visit the Santa Barbara Castle. A boat ride from Alicante or Santa Pola you will find the small island of Tabarca,which is a very memorable day trip.
I have Wifi for all to access, so that important call home can be done by Skype! Or to just to chill and enjoy.
I have welcomed students into my home for the past 5 years and have enjoyed it immensely. I embrace other cultures, language and foods, Being a host is a great way to get a feel of other cultures.
