This pretty country gîte is set on a quiet farm in the Bigouden hinterland, just a few minutes' drive from magnificent coastal scenery. With its lovely living room, fireplace area, 4 bedrooms and well-equipped kitchen, the accommodation is comfortable enough for a large family or small group of friends. When you return from La Torche beach, which stretches over 13 km and is known throughout France as one of the most popular surfing spots, you'll appreciate the beach shower, located in an annexe of the house. After all sorts of outdoor activities, you can take part in a guided tour of the farm and watch the cows being milked. A bottle of fresh milk will be offered to you on arrival. Just 400m from the gîte, the neighbouring market gardeners offer organic vegetables throughout the season on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Pays Bigouden is famous for its lively ports (Le Guilvinec, Lesconil), family-friendly seaside resorts and picturesque coastline. The commune of Ploneour-Lanvern is ideally situated in a triangle between the Bay of Audierne, the Pointe de la Torche and the renowned seaside resort of Bénodet. Several pretty chapels and one of the most beautiful calvaries in France are also in the immediate vicinity (next to the Chapelle de Tronoën). The capital of the Pays Bigouden, Pont l'Abbé, attracts visitors with its castle, beautiful shops and numerous restaurants and crêperies (6 km), and the historic town of Quimper is also only a few minutes' drive away.
