The space
Our year round retreat is under 10 minutes to the city life of Jamestown, NY; including The National Comedy Center, The Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum, and is about 15 minutes to either shore of Chautauqua Lake.
Our completely private property sits on 23 acres with nice big yard and pond. During your stay you could discover your inner peace during any seasons. Come down the rustic driveway to the one floor log cabin with the green roof. The circular drive provides ample parking and the front porch welcomes you.
A self check-in and secured entry at the front door brings you into the cozy and open design kitchen with tile floor. There you’ll find all the basics a refrigerator/freezer, gas stove/oven, microwave, a toaster, pod coffee maker and a pour over coffee maker. Additionally there are dishes, glasses, cups, silverware, etc.
The kitchen bar with stools makes an inviting and entertaining transition to the dining and living area. There you’ll notice the two bedrooms and the bathroom at the rear of the cabin.
The bathroom has a tile floor, a single cabinet sink, an exhaust fan and a shower with a seat and safety bars. There is an outhouse, but it’s only for photo ops and is not a functioning outhouse.
The main bedroom has one queen size bed, two bed side stands with lamps, a ceiling fan, two chairs, and a closet . One window provides a woodland view while the other looks out onto the pergola and across the yard to the pond.
The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be joined together making one king. The room also has a ceiling fan, a night stand with a lamp, two chairs and a small table and a closet.
Returning to the roomy living/dining area there’s a large screen TV with 1Gbps WI-FI. An expanding dining table adapts to your needs, and ample seating for those needs. On the opposite end of the room is a cocktail ottoman, a full size couch and love seat giving plenty of room to relax.
From the dining room you see through the sliding glass door into a large unheated sunroom. There you’ll find inviting furniture including a twin to king trundle day bed perfect for sleeping two more during warmer weather. That makes a total of 6 guests in warm weather only. The entire unheated sunroom has screen and/or glass doors leading to the front porch and to a big deck and pergola. Finally, as you stand there on the deck looking across the green lawn and past the large fire pit you’ll see the half acre pond with a dock. There is a well groomed path around the pond for your adventures. Oh, and there’s a gazebo with electric service near the pond. A perfect place to ponder.
