Positive: We had a lovely stay at PAPO'A Pier 2, Kaohsiung. We originally booked the kiddies room with the slide, and it was absolutely perfect for our family. The room was super clean, modern & spacious, and the kids especially loved staying in the tent overnight for one of the nights – it was such a fun and memorable experience for them. We ended up staying at this hotel for almost two weeks, and the hotel was incredibly accommodating when it came to extending our stay. The pricing was also fantastic compared to the CBD hotels along Formosa Boulevard, which made a big difference for a longer visit. If you have a family or kids, this is truly the perfect place to stay. The location is great, with a pier and promenade-style walkway nearby where you can take the kids for morning walks. It’s peaceful, family-friendly, and surrounded by a really artsy precinct, which adds a unique and cool atmosphere to the area. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We really appreciated the free snacks and coffee available at the entrance of the lobby. There is also a laundromat in the hotel, which is very handy when traveling with kids since they usually make a mess. We did all our laundry at the hotel for a small extra fee, which was very convenient. Our sheets were changed daily, which was a lovely touch. The bed was very comfortable, and we also loved the size of the bathtub – perfect for relaxing after a long day and great for bathing the kids. We stayed in two different room types, and we would highly recommend the third-floor family room. If you are on a tighter budget, the ground-floor room is still a great option, although it can be a little bit noisy. That said, the location is excellent and the overall experience is still wonderful. Overall, hotel is an amazing choice for families. Great value, spacious rooms, friendly staff, and fantastic facilities for both kids and adults. We would definitely stay here again.
