Positive: Fabulous house for large groups in a picturesque village. Full of character and spacious rooms with 4 bathrooms which was really helpful. The cinema room and pool table were especially appreciated. There was a nice welcome pack of wine,tea,coffee and cookies.
Negative: Guests ought to be made aware that the " driveway" is rough gravel, uneven and very steep meaning that low profile style cars are in danger of scraping the bottom of their bodywork. The property could have been cleaner - it wasn't dirty but grubby in places with a stale water smell in one bathroom. Multiple cobwebs in most rooms. Obviously being a 5 bedroomed property it needs more than one cleaner at changeover and it felt ready for a deep clean. There were no "first" fire packs despite 2 wood burners which was unacceptable for the price. Some of the kitchen equipment was in poor repair eg broken corkscrew - essential! Overall Neddy House is a luxury property and beautifully restored however it fell short in a few small ways and needs more care.
