Minimum rental is 32 nights. Charming cottage situated in Lanaudiere (1 hour from Montreal and 5 minutes from the village of St-Calixte). Ideal for people who like to relax away from the city noise. It is simple cottage but clean, quiet and cozy. The living room has an electric fireplace, kitchen is fully equipped and spacious, the grounds are large and include private pond. The village services are within walking distance. The cottage has no washer or dryer - for longer stays laundromat services in the village can be used.
Enjoy sitting by the pond and watching the wildlife or walking in the forest and breathing fresh air. Spend your evenings gathering around fire, roasting marshmallows and baking potatoes or apples. 5 pieces of wood per a night of stay are provided free of charge. Summary: Communications with the property manager were very good. Regardless of small complaints about cleanness we enjoyed our stay for 3 weeks when it was interrupted by the sudden absence of running water because the well had dried up following a heat wave. The owners promptly reimbursed us for 10 missing days. The owners deserve praise for continuing outside improvements. As a suggestion we think the bathroom needs renovations. We are still waiting for VRBO reimbursement of its part for 10 days.
