This lovely cottage with attached carriage house is elegant yet casual. Located just steps from the beach with beautiful Gulf views from the balcony, the charm of this house is found in the details. Mason-Dixon Cottage is reminiscent of the earliest Florida homes in St. Augustine which is the essence of Rosemary Beach.
Once inside you will find stone floors, plaster and bead board walls. The ceilings are bead board throughout and old beams span the first floor open living area which includes living room, dining area, kitchen, pantry and half bath. Ascend the stair steps hewn of reclaimed, antique oak to a gallery-style hallway that gives the impression of being in an enclosed porch. This effect is an aspect of the original design by noted architect L. Ingram.
Located off the hallway are two guest bedrooms each with private bath and master suite complete with walk-in shower and private balcony with outstanding Gulf views. On the third floor is a fabulous four twin bedroom with full bath and lounging area. The room is terrific for kids to have their own space. The layout of the bedrooms throughout the house offers privacy for everyone.
Above the two-car garage is a wonderful new carriage house master suite with easy access from the main house's second floor. Featured in prominent decorating and design publications through the years, this five bedroom/five and a half bath home has a charm and character you won't easily find. A must rent in Rosemary Beach!
