Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location is peaceful and private and the garden is just great. The home was homey and cosy inside with a good kitchen, fantastic living area with beautiful piano and fireplace. Lots of room and several small bathrooms.
Negative: The home is not clearly marked from the road and difficult to find. The first contact didnt go well as the number to call was answered by someone who seemed to have no clue about the booking or even owning the rental home as we were approaching. This was fixed by repeated calling to the same number after which we were given the entry code and a contact lady came to let us in, also very helpful. Later we spoke to the owner, a different person from the initial contact and they were very apologetic and kind and I must say we booked on the same day of arrival so that was partially unexpected for the owner I think. Further my tip would be for the owners to spruce up the exterior and pool. The patios were in poor repair and pool cover impossible to retract with a system too fragile and lightweight while the pool itself was great once you got in. The stairs were to be found in the shed by the way. Be aware with small children...the garden is fantastic for exploring and exiting for kids but there is an old deep pond and river areas with hidden drop...fine with parents watching out though. If you like a cosy, homey, super private and not too fussily perfect exterior you will love this little home tucked away in a natural setting. We loved it. Thank you!
