ALMOND HILL HOUSE: 200-year old farmhouse set in private olive groves in the Alpujarra – a very beautiful part of Spain. Lovely gardens, mountain views and a large gated pool. Secluded rural location – 5 minutes from town. Explore pretty mountain villages, the beaches of the Costa Tropical and Granada. Enjoy world-class on or off road cycling; walking and trekking; and horse-riding.

POOL
The pool is open late-April to late-October - weather depending. A thermal cover raises the temperature in outside the summer. This relies on sunshine so the temperature can't be guaranteed.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DAYS
For 2023 we are taking a more flexible approach to bookings. We are moving away from traditional Saturday to Saturday (7 or 14 nights) stays. This may help you obtain better value flights and avoid busy airports.
You can choose any number of nights – based on a minimum night stay – however, we may ask you to be flexible when planning your stay.

Summary: We, a group of two families with children, had a wonderful stay at Almond Hill for a week. The house, which was everything that we expected, was clean, well equipped, and had a very nice pool area looking out over the hills near Orgiva. Sarah and Matt, the hosts, were very friendly and made our stay easy and smooth. We cooked most of our meals at the house, and I for one, appreciate that the kitchen was well equipped, with everything you needed. During the days, we would make day trips to nearby beautiful small towns, like Travelez, or down to the ocean. We also had a much appreciated horse back riding excursion for the kids. In the evenings, we would enjoy the very nicely decorated patio, overlooking the hills, and gazing at the night sky with all the wondrous night stars, with drinks in our hands. I can highly recommend the Almond Hill, especially if you enjoy serene and beautiful surroundings that are not directly situated in the tourist mechas. /Richard & others
