Welcome to 2023 season at "Look-Out Lodge on Lake Cumberland" (LOL). This property boast a complete 230 degrees of unobstructed views of Lake Cumberland. LOL is a four story custom built log and stone home with a total of 5,275 sq. ft. of indoor living space and over 2,800 sq. ft. of wrap around porches on both the 2nd and 3rd floor. There is an additional court yard deck in the recreation room on the first floor for more outdoor space. This home has 5 spacious designer bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths with unobstructed views of Lake Cumberland from anywhere in the home or on the covered decks. This property has a Great Room with 27 foot floor to ceiling glass windows facing Lake Cumberland; 2 kitchens; 2 dinning rooms and another living room as well as a full recreation and game room on the 1st floor. Please note, the lake view is seasonal as the water level is dropped in the winter months by army corp of engineers.
The lodge is one of the few quality homes with an outdoor hot tub and outdoor fire pit.
As of December 2022 LOL is listed as the highest five star rated lodge on Lake Cumberland. We pride ourselves on being fresh and new, updating the lodge each year with new and innovative products, services and upgrades. For our returning guests you will find some great additions we made that we know you'll love.
LOL is a perfect get-away spot for groups and families. If you want to enjoy a very secluded but secure lake front vacation home, then LOL is the perfect place to visit. There is not another home anywhere in sight and there is little to no car traffic to speak of. Just the occasional turkey crossings. With only one other home in this beautifully landscaped retreat of 67 acres, you feel like you have your own estate as you enter into this private landscaped gated community. Let the kids go bike riding without supervision. There are great places to explore as well as all kinds of wildlife. Deer, turkey and more are abundant due to the lack of people and traffic. Feel free to bring your boats and trailers as you have unlimited parking available when you arrive.
You can access the lakeshore by taking the hillside stairs and a 5 minute walk to lake. LOL is located on a very steep bluff at over 425 feet above the lake. LOL is all about the views and beauty of the lake and the surrounding vistas. Each of the five bedrooms are individually decorated with a theme in mind. So pack your bags, your clothes along with your food & drinks.... because we supply everything else you will need for your stay at "Look-Out Lodge on Lake Cumberland". Oh yeah... and bring your tooth brush as well.
The nearest marina is "Lake Cumberland Marina" off of Hwy 1383 in Russell Springs. We are 1.5 miles away from this marina by water but 14 miles by road. We have a public boat ramp off of Hwy. 76 which is 12 miles away on Mill Hollow and is visible from our gated community.
Please remember that we have a limited of 12 persons in total for any rental period including ALL children, regardless of age. No pets of any kind are allowed including service and emotional support animals. These requirements are strictly enforced and may result in forfeiture of the $500 damage deposit.
