Positive: There are two things that stand out- the facilities and the staff. Our room was very well appointed, clean, and energy efficient. Everything worked, and we were lacking nothing. Similarly, all of the common areas were comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast room is cozy and bright. The breakfast is great. The entire place has a consistent, harmonious theme. Well designed, well made, and well maintained. But maybe the best aspect is the staff. Everyone was warm and friendly. They were patient with my Spanish (and no doubt, they speak beautiful English too). They offered great restaurant suggestions, and always asked about our activities for the day to help plan for our needs, like packing a "to go" breakfast or lunch. The staff are just genuine and service oriented, always one step ahead. I highly recommend Lodge Quelana.
Negative: Nothing. We liked everything! Just be aware, if you are without a car, the lodge is located about an hour walk outside of SPdA. But they can refer a taxi service for you that is cheap and friendly. We even walked it several times and enjoyed the walk (on a small road off the main road), but undoubtedly the feasibility of the walk depends on the season and temps.
