Positive: The house is larger and prettier than in the photographs. Well equipped kitchen. Very nice private garden with sun beds and barbecue. Great location within a few minutes walking distance from the port. Good WiFi.

Negative: Lack of transparency regarding the charges and communication with the property. After we made a reservation on Booking we received a request to pay deposits and charges not advertised on Booking. In particular, you are asked if you want to pay an “optional” cleaning fee of 200 EUR and if you don’t, you are later asked for a security deposit in the same amount and you are requested to perform deep cleaning of the house including washing the tiles, shower walls and defrosting the fridge. None of this is advertised on Booking when making a reservation. See below the excerpt from the email received outside the official Booking channel of communication. The issue was finally resolved satisfactorily and the request for charges and deposits was dropped but we had to involve Booking and this definitely spoiled our experience. What is more ironic, on the first night after arrival my husband got a small piece of glass stuck in his foot and we couldn’t help but wonder whether the cleaning might have been performed by a prior guest. “If you have not subscribed to the housekeeping package : Meticulous housekeeping is expected. To be performed : Bathroom: glass wall, shower tray, mirror cleaned. WC clean (inside and out). Vacuumed floor. Kitchen: all crockery clean, oven, microwave, dishwasher, hob, coffee maker, kettle cleaned. Refrigerator clean and defrosted. Garbage emptied and cleaned. Bedroom and living room: vacuumed floor, rented linen placed on bed, comforter and bedspread folded at foot of bed. Shower mat and towel in shower. Outside: barbecue cleaned and degreased, garden furniture dusted, ground swept.”
