4 Bedroom Cottage with Bedding, Kitchen and Laundry
Le Chai has 4 bedrooms and sleeps 8 comfortably. Two master bedrooms with four-poster beds and ensuite shower rooms, we also have two twin rooms which share a house bathroom.
All household linen is included in the price of your gite, i.e. bed linen, bath & hand towels, pool towels, table cloths and teatowels.
The ground floor is open plan with a fully equipped kitchen containing all the usual items i.e. dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, electric double oven, 5 ring gas hob, microwave, slow cooker and American fridge and freezer. Other accessories include a Senseo coffee machine, toaster, electric whisk, iron, ironing board and a safe.
We also have a range of baby equipment available, including a travel cot, bottle steralizer, highchair and changing mat.
The open plan lounge area includes a hi-fi system, a flat screen tv, dvd player, Freeview UK TV, French TV, a woodburner and Internet access.
French doors lead from the lounge area to the riverside, enclosed terrace. Here you will find a wooden table and 8 chairs, a charcoal barbeque and a relaxed seating area, the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast, or a pre-dinner aperitif.
The heated pool is on the south side of the gite and is surrounded by safety fencing. The garden is mostly laid to lawn and here you will find a games box, the swing-set, a badmington net is usually set up and a Ping-Pong table. We also have adult bikes, canoes, fishing equipment and tennis rackets & balls, free to use. This outside area and facilities are shared with our sister gite next door, L'Ecurie Gite.
The local village of St Pierre de Cole is just 1km away and here you will find a boulangerie, a small grocery shop, post office and a restaurant/bar. The tennis court is also here and we provide a free membership card. Brantome is just 10 minutes drive away and every Friday morning there is always a great market. Thiviers is also 10 minutes away and their market morning is Saturday. We are perfectly situated for the wine route around Bergerac and Bordeaux.
