Positive: This place is just amazing. La Chapelle Saint-Nicolas in Cassel is a beautifully restored 18th-century chapel offering a peaceful and comfortable stay near the town centre. Once a historic place of worship built in 1787 and then used as a garage and storage room, it now features a cosy bedroom, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, and a private terrace – perfect for couples or families seeking countryside charm with a touch of history.
Negative: There is nothing we didn´t like but a heads-up – if you’re not a fan of midnight stair climbs, the bed’s upstairs and the bathroom’s downstairs. Also, there might be no parking right in front of the door, but you’ll find plenty of spots just a few metres up or down the street.
