Tucked away at the end of a quiet road, not far off of Highway 26, you’ll find the Iron Mountain Lodge. This incredible private retreat sits on more than 10 picturesque acres of lawn and woodlands. The impeccable location is a perfect place to stay while you enjoy the countless outdoor and adventure activities throughout the entire Mt. Hood region.
From the moment you enter, you will be enveloped in a warm mountain lodge feel. The main living room is bathed in natural light from its vaulted cathedral ceilings and oversized windows. Enjoy the huge sectional facing the fireplace and stream your favorite movie on the 75” TV. It’s a perfect place to relax with your entire guest group. You’ll find a desk area with Starlink wifi for your work needs. There’s also an area for little kids with a play kitchen, table, books and toys.
Off of the main living room you can access the large wrap around porch with raised deck. It features a BBQ and fire table with adirondack chairs. There’s several peaceful areas to enjoy the stars and the expansive view of the mountains and nature.
The spacious gourmet kitchen comes outfitted with all stainless steel appliances, including two refrigerators and generous counter space! There’s a large kitchen island with barstools for entertaining guests, and ample kitchen supplies for any chef to feel comfortable whipping up some delicious meals. Enjoy your time together in the formal dining area that seats six guests. Or around the four person table in the breakfast nook and relax with the view of picturesque trees and birds. There’s a half bath adjacent to the laundry room which also has porch and driveway access.
The enormous main level bedroom boasts a king bed, ensuite bathroom with jetted soaking tub, picture windows, smart TV, portable crib, air mattress, as well as access to its own private deck!
Ascending to the top floor you will find a loft with a sitting area that has two convertible sleeping chairs which are perfect for kiddos or guests if needed. Down the hall you’ll find the second master suite with ensuite bathroom. It boasts a king bed and air mattress. The two additional bedrooms on this level share the third full bathroom. The first is a fun room with a twin over full sized bunk bed, a futon couch that converts to a full sized bed and kids teepee with books, toys and a wooden train set! The final bedroom has two XL twin beds, it has lots of natural light with windows overlooking the front lawn and a beautiful view.
Without a doubt, one of the crowd favorites is the game room on the lower level! In there you will find a pool table, foosball, shuffleboard, as well as an arcade with Pac-man and digital Star Wars pinball games. There is plenty of seating and a portable fireplace and bluetooth speaker. Double doors open out to a covered area with picnic table. You can access the wood burning fire pit, play a game of basket ball or take a walk around the park like property. This space creates an incredible setting to laugh, compete and enjoy every bit of the Iron Mountain Lodge.
Iron Mountain is located about 45 minutes from downtown Portland and PDX airport. This stellar location gives you convenient access to beautiful parks, waterfalls, hot springs, wildlife and wildflowers. Popular summer activities range from kayaking at Trillium Lake and white water rafting the Deschutes River to horseback riding, mountain biking, and tubing. Winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding are also abundant, as well as snowshoeing and Cosmic tubing at Ski Bowl. It’s just a short 15 minute drive to Government Camp. Iron Mountain in located across from the only access road leading to the famous Barlow Trail bike/hiking path and is new to the world renowned 28 acre private campus of Windells Ski Camp.
With snow prevalent during the winter, we keep our driveways as clear as possible. Chains for your car are required further up the mountain going to Government Camp. However, you will not need them to access this Lodge. Shuttles go up to the mountain ski areas, with pickup location being just along Highway 26. The city of Sandy is just 15 minutes away with all your major shopping and food needs. Welches also has several food and supply options and is just 5 minutes up the highway.

Please note that this property's designated smoking area is located under the green covered area which includes two chairs and an ashtray. There is absolutely no smoking permitted on the home's deck/patio or within 20 feet of open windows and/or doors.
