This bright modern inviting 3000sq ft family home can accommodate up to 10 people in 6 bedrooms including a fully contained apartment downstairs. From its lofty position set back in the hills just a mile from the town among 21 acres of farmland, Winchmore Hill House boasts commanding views over the surrounding countryside.
The moment you enter Winchmore Hill House you will be immediately impressed by the high-ceilinged hallway and staircase with eye-catching light feature. This house was designed for entertaining and has lots of options for everyone to congregate when they want to and similarly, it offers plenty of places for the group to break away into smaller clusters at any time.
The heart of the house is in the kitchen. It has everything you could want or need during your stay and only the most high-tec and up to date models of Miele appliances. The island has four stools – perfect for a quiet breakfast with the newspaper and a coffee, and there is a full sized dining table with seats for up to 8 people. Additional chairs can be brought over to the table to allow it seat 10 people.
The main sitting room is accessed through sliding doors from the kitchen and has a huge l-shaped couch, TV and a warm and welcoming wood burning stove.
The "Music Room" is a second sitting room and has comfy couch and armchairs, a piano and a lovely open fire.
Downstairs is the "Rec Room" with pool table, X Box and a library of books, video games and board games for you to enjoy. Ideal for the kids to hang out together.
There is also a separate laundry room upstairs alongside the kitchen as well as a bathroom with wet room style shower.
Five of the bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and lovely large ensuite with double sink, shower and separate bath. There is a lovely balcony off this room offering fabulous views over the countryside below.
There is another double bedroom which is ensuite and has a feature claw-footed bath with shower attachment. One of the bedrooms has two single beds and then there are two more bedrooms, each with a small double bed really only suitable for one adult. One of these rooms has a pull out double bed so please let us know if you have additional young children and we may be able to accommodate your request.
The main family bathroom is also upstairs and has a bath with a shower over it.
The sixth bedroom is downstairs in the self-contained apartment. It is a king sized bed and there is a bathroom with shower there too. Although compact, this is the perfect space for the grandparents, an au pair or a teenager looking for a little space from the rest of the group. Doors leads out onto the patio from this area.
Not only has Winchmore Hill House got lots of outdoor patio space with plenty of garden furniture, but it even has its own 6 person wood-fired outdoor hot tub and fire pit. Great fun for an evening in and a BBQ.
STUDIO
Winchmore Hill House has a detached back studio that was formally used as an Irish Dance studio. This space is suitable for guests interested in practicing yoga or dance while staying at the house. The studio has a Harlequin dance floor, ballet barre, mirrors & WiFi. The studio also has a ping pong table and dart board for additional activities.
