Situated in the charming white village of Cañada del Real Tesoro in the heart of the Serrania de Ronda in Andalucia, Spain. Originally a Posada or village Inn, now converted into a chic retreat . A characterful spacious Home, offering generously sized guest bedrooms and a charming mixture of riverside terraces , gardens and tropical plants, with superb country views to the rear of the property. Rather uniquely, this property is situated within a tiny little village, so guests feel that they in the country, but also can enjoy the convenience of a walk to the local bakery, supermarket and a couple of traditional Spanish bar/restaurants. Not only is Casa del Rio Retreat a versatile fun holiday home for groups of friends and families, it is also an ideal location for any celebration or gathering. An intimate wedding , a special anniversary , your own personal retreat , team building venue... Our house Manager is an experience Event Planner and will be happy to assist you with all your requirements , Catering, airport transfers, additional local accommodation for guests attending a wedding or event at the Casa del Rio. You can assured of being well supported with all your planning needs. The house extends over 3 levels. The highest upper level, having five very spacious bedrooms - each with an impressive vaulted ceiling, en-suite bathroom, and a juliet balcony that looks out over the Guardiaro River. From this level there is access to the Morroccan themed terrace. A great place to watch the sun rise or set over the mountains while enjoying a glass of local Ronda wine ! There is a direct access external staircase to the swimming pool from this terrace. The ground level is where the main entrances to the property are . All the common living areas are on this floor, there is a large, professionally equipped kitchen is perfect for catering for larger groups. Guests love the fully equipped bar area . The main lounge with open fireplace and indoor dining area . A casual relaxation Tv and reading room is popular with younger guests. There are netflix, amazon prime and Tv channels in many languages. At ground level, there is a large self contained suite consisting of a double bedroom, ensuite bathroom , dressing area, living room ( with sofa bed ) and galley kitchenette. The pool is on this level, it is set in a charming walled courtyard, with sunbathing terrace and a dining area and beautiful river views. This area can be completely enclosed, so it is easy to keep the younger ones safe when adults are not around to supervise them. A large covered terrace overlooking the river is accessed through the main lounge. With a dining table for up to 20 guests , and plenty of casual seating, this is one of the most popular areas of the house and its views are just breathtaking. From this terrace is the staircase to the lower level. ANNEX LEVEL On this level there are three further double bedrooms with en suite bathrooms each room has a lovely sitting area under a covered terrace and overlooking the river. Further along is the BBQ terrace - there are two BBQ’s – one is charcoal and the other gas. A preparation area with sink and seating for up to 20 guests. From the BBQ terrace there is a small bridge that takes you to the River Garden. Casa del Rio has so many small private corners, and large terraces spread throughout the house, and that even when fully occupied, everyone has their space if they need it ! Each room has been individually styled adding charm and character to the property. 1. The self-service option: a daily cleaning service is available on request for 15 euros per hour, with a minimum of 3 hours per day. Please book this service when making your reservation 2. Catered options: we offer various meal and drink plans for you to make your stay even more restful! Food and Drinks packages can be pre ordered and placed in the house for your arrival: - Payment for these to be made locally on arrival Please note that all catering options must be pre-cooked prior to your arrival . Please discuss your catering requirements with our House Manager after booking your stay at Casa del Rio Retreat. NB: we welcome weddings for up to 60 guests on Casa del Rio Day.
