Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The proximity to sunset point, away from the humdrum tourist filled lanes. The access to terrace where we could spend great time during evening or even in the early morning hours. The rooms are spacious enough, in fact too big for two members. Being a newer version of the existing hotel, the property boasts of new bedlinen and towels, it's a welcoming experience for someone who looks for cleanliness of linen supplied during the stay. The air-conditioning works like a charm, even though we checked in during peak summer. The access to condiments shop at the ground floor adds convenience to pick snacks or aerated drinks from the store before heading out to tourist spots. Last but not least, the communication and service rendered by the host was outstanding, as he was waiting for us to check-in before he could have his dinner, since we got late during the travel to the property. He obliged to most of the minor requests that we had during our one night stay. The price was affordable for the service offered and locality, in addition, to 24hr check-in & check-out which are turning into a rare phenomenon these days.
Negative: Since the location is far from major tourist attractions, as mentioned in the property description, so be prepared to spend a lot on commute to reach to various tourists spots, in case one does not prefer to walk. There isn't lift/elevator available as of now to access rooms or terrace, but the owner mentioned that it is in the pipeline to execute the same in the future, as this causes inconvenience to elderly, but not a problem for youth population. Being a new property it lacks table or chair in certain room(s), even though space isn't a constraint. The access to the rest room is a challenge for elderly as they have to climb up and down (for about 1.5 feet high step) every time they attempt to access the same. Since it's a new property it does not have a sign board which effectively leads one to the property. Further, while the property owner has less control on the below, would recommend to exercise caution while accessing the property during evenings, as it is nearby to a TASMAC shop (State owned shop vending alcoholic beverages) just adjacent to the property, as it can be concerning to a few family members. While we did not encounter any issue during our one night stay, it may be quite disturbing for family members to spot folks engaging in alcohol consumption openly just adjacent to the property.
