Positive: The hotel did change the room upon my request, and I could not hear the road with the windows closed. The staff were nice & accommodating. My room was very nice, with a great view and setting of the Amalfi coast. The rooftop bar and pool was excellent and relaxing. Overall it is set in a peaceful location despite it being on a main road. It was good value for money as it was not far to Sorrento, and I would return back to stay here.
Negative: I was given an upgrade however the room was in another part of a connecting building and was closer to the main road to which I could hear all the traffic. The hotel did change the room which was a little smaller. Upon moving rooms, the TV was not working and the plugs in the room were 1920's style and I had to borrow an adapter as my Euro plugs would not work. I asked in advance about access to a computer in the hotel with internet access, to which I was informed that I could borrow a laptop. Instead I had to use the staff computer which was not so comfortable. The gym did not have any aircon on to which I decided not to use the treadmill, as it was too hot overall. Hotel could be better utilised as their inside bar was very small to non existent, and the rooftop bar was closed by 10pm. At breakfast I asked for poached eggs and they said they do not do such a thing. This is a 4 star hotel and even though there was some great points, the hotel lets itself down in some areas.
Summary: Very nice although room for improvement.
