Summary: Sounds silly to mention but if you have ever been to Austin or any big city parking is a beast. Not so at Hotel San Jose with its on site easy in parking lot. After parking the pivot door directing you to the cool vibe lobby sets the tone for your stay along with a cheerful personable perfectly off beat staff. Sheets are soft to touch, beds strike the perfect balance of firm and give and the high polished concrete floors are delightfully cool under foot on a hot texas summer day. Stay hack: be sure to arrive in time to enjoy happy hour on the courtyard. To nibble and Bev under gracious oaks with quiet hum of nearby parties chatting is a delightful way to start your visit or evening before heading out Congress street. Hotel San Jose is ideally located for those looking for the non tourist standard Austin experience. Zilker park and evening bat flights are nearby as well as great eats, dive bars and unexpected shopping. Hotel San Jose is my go to whenever I am in Austin.
