The family-run Hotel Hirlanda is located in the heart of Zürs, 2 minutes’ walk from the Trittkopf Ski Elevator. The restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and Austrian and Mediterranean cuisine with flair. The Hotel is directly on the Arlberg Ski Slopes and offers ski-to-door access in good snow conditions. Ski passes can be bought and ski equipment can be stored at Hotel Hirlanda. Rooms offer pleasant furnishings and come with cable TV and a bathroom with a bath or shower and amenities. Half board is included in the room rate and offers a selection of dishes from the entire menu. Most rooms also have a mini-bar and a seating area. Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The location is practically "ski out" (1min walk to the lift/gondola) and "ski in" within few meters to ski room. The room itself was OK for my expectations, facing ski slopes and superb view. The breakfast was excellent. The dinner mostly great but few days where it was not at the best (especially for my wife who is not a great fan of Tirolean traditional food). The sauna is great. Most of the time it was not too busy so I enjoyed it very much. The hotel owner was VERY OK with us allowing to have 13:00 late check out - big plus for the last day.
Negative: The hotel lacks actual spa. There very limited massage options and/or fitness room. The hotel lacks an "apre-ski snack" tradition like many hotels in the area. Naturally, there is a bar where you can order food... but it is not the same atmosphere. Also, the restoraunt certainly preffers "cash paying" customers rather than who is "half pension" pre-payed.
Summary: I was very happy with this hotel. The staf was helpful.
