Here you will find rest and relaxation in a fantastic, unique and natural environment. You can enjoy the stunning, almost unspoiled nature here in both summer and winter. Well-marked hiking trails are sure to excite any nature lover. Cyclists will also find a wide range of appealing routes, such as the Werra cycle path. In winter, well-groomed cross-country ski trails, groomed slopes, ski hiking trails and toboggan slopes round off the list of attractive activities. Excursions in the area include: Eisfeld Castle with museum, Veste Coburg, ruins of Schaumburg, Lauscha, Masserberg, Lichtenhain/mountain railway.
