Positive: The house itself was stunning. Excellent location. Easy to find. And the owner was very helpful before the stay. We have an annual weekend with friends and this was perfect for us with 6 adults and 2 small children. Settle is a 5min drive for plenty of pubs and quirky little shops. But the local pub called the craven heifer was a nice quiet little country pub with excellent beer! The garden was well dog proofed so that was a big relief. The bath was AWESOME! It was so nice to relax in a big deep bath! We were also left a very nice bottle of wine when we arrived, a lovely touch!

Negative: The house itself was a little in need of some TLC. Things like the chairs were old and one nearly broke on my heavily pregnant wife when she sat on it. The log fire was out of order because of broken glass. It may be a small thing but it was a freezing weekend and it would have been nice to be warned that this was out of order, as we had brought wood with us ready to burn, but also because we do actualy always look for a log burner for our group get together when we are booking houses to stay at. The arger in the kitchen was also only for decoration. So the meal we had planned was much harder to cook with one small oven. The towels provided were also 'well worn' and could do with replacing. So I would suggest bringing your own.

Summary: A lovely house with amazing views! Perfect for a small group tackling the 3 peaks!
