Positive: the double bedroom is in a ground floor of a house in a very central location in Gandia, in a sidestreet just off a shopping street. access is not easy by car, because of curent roadworks going on. parking on site not possible, but about 10 mins. walking away there are parking spots. close to a water fountain. price is affordable, the hosts are friendly.
Negative: the shared bathroom is stuffy and far from the room, right across the living room of the family living there. the cleanliness needs to be improved a lot. no privacy going to/from bathroom. bedroom door cannot be locked with a key, you will need a padlock. the hosts screwed a padlock ring into the bedroom door frame, but still it feels quite weird to have to padlock the bedroom door while you're inside the house, when going out. these are the major aspects to improve: bathroom cleanliness and bedroom door key. the bedroom has a window on a sidestreet that can be very very noisy... garbage collection comes at 2am and makes brutal noise. unfortunately there is no ventilation in the room, no aircon, no fan, so in the summer you have to leave the window open to get some air. still it gets very hot in this room.
