** Refreshed in June 2024 ** Welcome to our Granny's house! We have recently restored our grandparent's homestead into this charming rental and we can't wait to welcome you! Our home offers a cozy atmosphere and is perfect for a relaxing getaway. The home is ideal for families or groups with the ability to sleep up to 10 guests comfortably. The house features modern amenities and stylish decor, while still retaining its historic charm.
The home features three bedrooms with one king bed and two queen beds. The living room also has a futon sofa that turns into a full size bed and there are two twin trundle beds as well. There are two full bathrooms - one has a tub/shower combo insert and the other has the original clawfoot tub that our grandparents put in the house that we restored and added a shower fixture to as well. There is a front porch that features two rocking chairs as well as a deck out back with a picnic table, swing and other seating as well. There is a small kitchen with all of the essentials required to make a meal for your family and the dining table seats eight people. Each bedroom contains a smart TV that you are welcome to login to your favorite streaming apps on. Bedroom one also contains an electric fireplace insert.
Guests will have access to the entire property and there are no shared spaces.
Guests may communicate with us via text or the booking channel. There will be a slower response time with phone calls. If there is an emergency affecting a person's safety guests should call 911 and contact us once everyone is safe.
Located close to downtown Bristol, you'll have easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shops. Whether you're here to explore the vibrant music scene or simply unwind in our comfortable home place, our charming retreat has everything you need for a memorable stay.
Uber/Lyft rides are available. For parking at the house, there is street parking in front across the street from the house but please be sure you don't block anyone's driveway. There is also parking for 2-3 vehicles in the back of the house that can be accessed via an alley. If you are pulling a camper or trailer you will not be able to park in the back. We are in love with our great grandparents' home that they built themselves and are really proud of the remodel work we have done on the home, however keep in mind that the home is more than 100 years old. The original hardwood floors are absolutely beautiful, but they are not even everywhere so please watch your step. The original doors -- and their hardware -- on the exterior and interior are charming and nostalgic, but they stick sometimes so you might have to put your weight into it to open or pull toward you when you're locking them.
The unit is self-checkin and guests will be provided with a code and instructions exactly 24 hours before check-in. So if your check-in time is 4 p.m. on Friday you will receive instructions at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The cleaning fee includes bed sheets, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, makeup removal cloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kitchen towels, hand soap, dish detergent, dishwasher pods, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, face tissue, and laundry detergent. The cleaners will leave a starter supply of all of these items but they are not replenished during the stay. All discounts available are included in the pricing you see on the booking channel. Discounts for long-term stays are automatically calculated when you choose the dates you would like to stay.
No smoking of any kind inside the property. If you smoke outside we ask that you pickup any cigarette butts before you check-out. Guests who smoke will be charged up to $2,000 penalty fee for deep cleaning and fabric deodorizing the home.
Parties, events, or weddings are not allowed.
To respect our neighbors, we observe quiet time between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. each day.
We provide high quality white linens in all of our properties. Guests will be charged a depreciated replacement value of these linens if they damage or stain them according to the following fee schedule: king sheets ($30), queen/full sheets ($25), twin sheets ($20), bath towels ($18), hand towels ($12), wash cloths ($6), kitchen towels ($12).
