Positive: Big, modern kitchen. Beautiful, quiet area. Nice sofa and mattress. It *could* be a 10/10 but it's not. This place has potential to become good with some changes, though.
Negative: We booked 2 nights but left after 1. Lots of depressing junky plastic kids toys/toilet plunger/ deflated soccer balls in the yard. Doors are locked to upstairs bedrooms, so it's false advertising that this house is as big as they say. One of the exterior doors won't lock. Kitchen floor is sticky (but otherwise the kitchen seems very clean). Shower is only a handheld attached to a tub faucet with no curtain. You only get 2 bath towels and 1 kitchen cloth. No towel or washcloth for hand drying. No towel or paper to clean the sticky floor. No cloth to put on the chairs that are FLAKING vinyl bits that stick to your clothes. The dining chairs seem like they were picked up from the garbage dump after other people threw them out. It's really disgusting. They should be thrown out immediately. We were very cold. There's a fireplace with huge logs, but no kindling or paper to start the fire. So we wore winter coats and hats in the house. There is only heat in the kitchen, hall, and bathroom. None in living room or bedrooms. But worst is... As another review mentioned, the number of flies is incredible! It's a farm area, so it's understandable. But if there were screens on the doors and windows, it wouldn't be such a problem. They landed in our food and on our faces when we tried to sleep. No fly swatter. On the positive side, all of these problems can be easily fixed and this could be a wonderful place! So please ignore this review if future ones are more positive. Hopefully the owners are just new to this and have fixed the problems.
