The Space:
The apartment contains a mixture of historic architectural elements with modern amenities: tall ceilings, hardwood floors, beautiful brick fireplaces, an airy bathroom with walk-in shower and recently updated kitchen. The apartment is located upstairs at the back of the 4-unit historic building. Bedroom one contains a king bed and bedroom two includes a queen bed, both have very comfortable memory foam mattresses. Both bedrooms open onto the kitchen/sitting area with a fully stocked kitchen including stove, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The space is perfect for a small family, or two couples to share. There is a shared laundry room in a back shed which may be used upon request. There are also two other rental units on the premises which could be rented for larger groups - please contact the host if this is something you are interested in.

This home is located Uptown on the edge of the charming Garden District. This area is exceptionally walkable and features oak-shaded streets that are lined with a diverse mix of homes, from single-story cottages to the grand historic mansions and lavish gardens of St. Charles Avenue. It is just steps to the St. Charles streetcar which will take you right down to the French Quarter in minutes. Also, only a few blocks away is Magazine St. with all of its boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, local bars, and more. Last but certainly not least, this is one of the best locations in the city to enjoy Mardi Gras as all of the parade routes are one block away!
Getting Around:
This area is very walkable and just steps to the St. Charles Streetcar. The streetcar is $1.25 per ride or $3 for a 24-hour pass. It will take you right down to the French Quarter in minutes!
Other Things to Note:
Please note the building is a 4-plex and this unit shares walls with the long-term tenants who live in the other upstairs apartment. There is free 24-hour street parking available along the block. If you are traveling without a vehicle, you can easily get around on foot or via the streetcar. The area is very walkable, and the neighborhood is friendly to pedestrians.
