Summary: This used to be a lovely hotel. When I arrived I was checked in quickly and went to my room which was roasting. The window didn’t open, and the aircon was reading 27.4C, (It was 16C outside!) but wouldn’t switch on. I called reception who said the hotel aircon had been deactivated but thankfully did offer an alternative room. The new room had a window that opened a fraction and a fan, which did cool the room during the afternoon. However the night was unbearably hot, even with the fan on full. Leisure facilities were nice enough but everything very basic with no frills or attention to detail. It didn’t really live up to the hotels.com description. Lovely helpful staff, but hotel needing some upkeep & TLC.
