Island retreat on Newboro Lake on the Rideau Canal! Enjoy the privacy of an entire island with great swimming, views, fishing and boating!
This log cabin has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Bedrooms: 1 queen in the master bedroom, 2nd bedroom has 2 single beds , and the 3rd bedroom has a bunk-bed with a double bed on bottom single on top. It also comes with a kayak, swim ladder on dock , a screened porch, fireplace with gas logs. This is a 4 1/2 acre private island and you will be the only people on the whole island! This cottage comes with2 adult kayaks 2 kids kayaks, and a canoe.
If you don't have a boat, but have boating experience, we rent pontoon boats as well!
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping, restaurants, and lots more!

The cottage is just minutes into the quaint town of Newboro with shopping and 2 restaurants, and only 5 minutes from the Rideau Lakes Golf Course.
This location is the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 45 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 25 minutes from central Ottawa; a great place for extended families to congregate.
