Summary: I will start by saying that the hotel is absolutely beautiful, some of the nicest interior décor that I have seen in a hotel and the views are stunning. The room was one of the nicest I have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and the bathroom/bath was very appreciated. The food in the restaurant was disappointing, I had the steak and honestly, I have cooked better myself at home. Breakfast was good, although some items missing due to a missed delivery, but what we did have was delicious. The spa was nice and great that it was free but I wouldn't go back for a spa day. The pool was lovely and warm, the jacuzzi wasn't hot - the outside sauna was amazing!! And the view from the spa was beautiful. Bear in mind that it is a family hotel, so lots of loud playing children, which is lovely for families, not so good if you're a couple. The staff were very good and extremely helpful, when you saw them. Afternoon tea was delicious, I'm really surprised to have read negative reviews about that before my stay because it was lovely. I would go back, but not for dinner and not just for the spa. If you have small children, it is a perfect base for a Cornish holiday.
