Perfect for small or multi-family vacations, reunions, hunting groups, retreats, or cooking/crafting getaways. The unique combination of an abundance of space and a cozy atmosphere make for a peaceful retreat. Year round activities abound at this property. Forest Lodge Farm is located on 9 acres down a quiet, dead-end road with residential homes nearby but not too close. You may hear the call of the loons on the lake during summer evening walks or sitting around the lakeside fire pit. This spacious lake home has been thoughtfully planned out and filled with all you need to make your stay a relaxing one. An open designed, well equipped kitchen greets you as you enter. The large island makes for a great place to prepare meals together or to sit and enjoy conversation. Adjacent to the kitchen is the Great Room with plenty of comfortable seating to watch a movie or the game, or just sit and look out over the lake. Grab the binoculars to spy many species of Minnesota waterfowl. The home has a unique butler's pantry that houses some of the appliances and kitchenware, including a coffee maker, blender, microwave, large toaster, air fryer, and 7 qt. crock pot. There are enough plates, glasses, mugs, and flatware for an army! The second sink and second dishwasher make cleaning up after group meals a breeze. Because the home is a modern expansion of an old farmhouse, just down the hall you will be able to retreat to a quiet living room, formal dining room, reading nook, and screened in front porch complete with rocking chairs. Just below the staircase to the upstairs level, plenty of new and old books line the bookshelf next to the comfy reading chair. A well equipped exercise room looks out over the lake. If you would rather relax than work out, the room doubles as a massage spa. We have a mobile massage artist willing to come to you on site for personal massages. (Reserve a session ahead of time.) Each of the 4 spacious bedroom suites has its own full bath ensuite, a king or queen bed, sofa sleeper and/or bunk beds to make sleeping room for four. The "bunk room" sleeps four and has its own tv ready for your gaming system or movie night - perfect for all the cousins! A full bath just across the hall services this bedroom. The "Master King Suite" is on the main level just off of the Great Room. Two queen suites, "Sunny Side Suite" & "Lake View Suite" are on the second floor. The "Bunk Room" and the "Minnesota Suite" are located on the walk out level and are relatively accessible: the patio entrance to the lower level can be accessed from the sloping yard and the shower for the Bunk Room has a very small lip for entry. Also, located on the walk out level is another comfortable family room. An electric "wood stove" adds ambiance and extra heat. Board games, a Foosball table, TV, and Big Buck Hunter arcade game keep everyone entertained. A kitchenette and table allow for meals, snacks, and drinks to be served. If you really need to work during your stay, a dedicated office area is located on the walk out level at the end of the hallway. A large desk, lamp, office chair, and printer with standard paper await you. But so does the lake!! And speaking of lakes, Jewett Lake is a lovely round lake spanning 731 acres with 4 miles of lake shore. Its deepest measurement is 75 feet. It is known for its many species of fish to go after in the summer and winter. A public boat launch is located on the north side of the Lake. Forest Lodge Farm has a dock to tie up your boat. If you don't have your own boat, ask for recommendations for water craft rental! We have a sandy and clean shoreline for swimming and wading and plenty of beach toys for little ones. Guests will have sole use of the entire property. There are two garage spaces and plenty more pavement on which to park vehicles. A Large grass lawn slightly slopes to the lakeshore. A large sandy fire pit area sits in the lawn close to the lake. The lakeshore has a sandy area with rock barrier. The long dock is available for swimmers, sun bathers, and boat tie up.
Other things to note:
Because we have neighbors, we ask that you be respectful of their space and the time of day. Quiet hours should be observed between 9pm and 8am, especially outside in the summer. Noise carries easily on the lake.
Remember to know your passwords for any streaming platform for which you have membership. Fishing waste materials will need to be disposed of properly to keep critters away. Please bag waste, freeze, and take with you when you leave. Fishing waste CANNOT be left on the premises. Smoking is allowed outside only. We have a deck, patio, and screened porch as well as the yard for smoking. Please dispose of waste appropriately.
