Guests have access to entire property with access to the Kalamzoo River. There will be (1) one owners closet that will be locked.
Other things to note
NOTE: Keep in mind, this property is in the woods by a river. There is LOTS of nature, even the pesky kind. We do our absolute best to remove cobwebs from the outdoor railings between every guest and we are on continuous treatment with Orkin Pest Services to eliminate unwanted bugs from around the house. However, there still may be present.
The wildlife is one of the absolute best things to experience at the cabin. Here is a list of all of the wildlife that we and our guests have seen on the property...
- Bald Eagle (perched in a branch right above the river edge deck (6' wingspan! WOW!)
- Deer (typically in the fall, often spotted in the front yard)
- Massive Cranes gliding across the water
- Turkey Vultures, Hawks, and Falcons soaring high in the sky
- Baby Fox
- Salamanders
- Baby Turtle (found him outside the front door)
- Jumping Fish (in the spring, fish often jump every 3-5 minutes, no joke!)
- Woodchuck
- Beaver (there is a tree soon to fall across the river from beaver chewing, see if you can spot it when you are there!)
- so many more!
Fish in the river: Carp, catfish, Smallmouth bass, Sucker, Sunfish, Walley, & Rock Bass.
