Travel Purpose: leisure
Positive: The villa is simply decorated, in a slow life mood. Don't expect any TV or dishwasher (but you have Wifi!). The beds are comfortable (some smaller than the others), the bathrooms are nice, the kitchen has all what you need. The breakfast is really good and you have a lot, each day we asked them to reduce the portions to not waste it. You have a road passing just in front but with really little traffic. You may hear few cars in the morning of people going to work or even the staff coming to work in the shop next door or preparing the breakfast but it didn't bother us. Except this, it is really a quiet place and with a stunning view. The swimming pool is huge even if a bit old. The only strange thing, the water was freezing cold despite the 37deg outside. It was probably around 20deg so quite a challenge to go inside. The village is at 10min walking, perfect for a walk to the castle, a drink or dinner in terrace.
Negative: Unfortunately, there was no air-conditioning in this villa and by staying mid-September we still had 37deg. Even with fan and by opening everything at night, it was quite difficult to sleep. Mainly when a cat jumped inside in the middle of the night to find food. BUT, they have started to upgrade their accommodations with air-conditioning so I assume that this one will have it soon. We also had a lot of aunts coming inside at night (due to the open windows?), so we moved all the food inside the fridge and the microwave. Once you noticed it it was not a big deal. Few points that also need some upgrade to make it nicer: - More comfortable chairs on the terrace: we had to use the cushion from inside to seat a bit longer - A parasol on the terrace: it is a minimum to enjoy staying outside with this weather - Some new deckchairs at the swimming pool: the existing ones are so uncomfortable and you scare that they will break
