Positive: Excellent location for exploring County Durham and Northumberland, the cottage was clean and had everything we needed for the week as a family of 3 with a young child. The kitchen is well equipped and the wifi was good. The beds were comfortable and the linen and towels were fresh and fluffy which we have found is rare in holiday lets! Check in was easy, and there were some lovely snacks and a bottle of wine waiting for us which was very much appreciated after a long journey. Beautiful views from the cottage, and some lovely cows in the field next door. There were also some very friendly cats that our child very much enjoyed meeting.
Negative: The only problem we had was with the bin liners, the ones provided seemed to burst open at the bottom as soon as you lifted them out of the bin, even if they were near empty. This made a big mess, we would definitely make sure to bring some with us next time - However we were grateful that there were some provided in the cottage and this is not a criticism of the owners at all.
Summary: Fantastic week in a beautiful location, we didn't want to leave!
