Enjoy this beautiful house that has many extras to make your stay a truly great holiday to remember. The house is finished on the north side with stone from the old cement works quarry, is just ideal for that Golden Bay holiday. It is located just across the road from the very sought after area of Pohara Beach. The beach itself is very gently sloping and is ideal for small children. Almost next door are tennis courts, and just a few steps away is a slipway suitable for launching small boats. A few minutes walk takes you spectacular limestone cliffs popular with rock-climbers, and, in the other direction, a shop and restaurants. Within a few minutes by car are Tarakohe marina, with a launching ramp for larger boats, the golden sands of Tata Beach, a nine-hole golf course, and Takaka township for that spot of shopping therapy.
Pohara is a great base for all the other Golden Bay activities - bush walks, sailing, fishing, river swimming, Pupu Springs, Bencarri Farm, the Anatoki Salmon farm (catch your own salmon!), and the Abel Tasman National Park (a paradise for kayakers, and world famous for its walking track and golden sand beaches). You can also visit the spectacular Farewell Spit and Wharariki Beach.
