Located on the Grounds of Historic Nethaniel Massie Stockade (circa 1790) and current location of Stockade Estates Resort in Manchester, OH, this freshly remodeled 4 Bedroom, 1.5 Bath, Single Family home is your home away from home. Offering two distinct experiences, Boating Season and Non- Boating Season.
Situated in a nice area just a stones-throw away from the Highly sought-after Manchester Islands, Ohio River, you will find yourself in the middle of a recreation paradise. (Note, this house is not ON the river. It is a block off the river, through the resort...like a cabin at summer camp.
The home is accessible by land or water (And air if you have a floatplane) With two parking spaces at the bungalow for your car/truck/boat trailer, parking is not an issue. Traveling by Water? Moor your boat(s) and or Jet ski(s) at our marina for a nominal extra fee. Yes, we have REC gas on site at our gas dock.
At Stockade Estates Resort, you'll find yourself in a most excellent location for boating, fishing, hiking, Kayaking, sightseeing or hunting and other land-based activities in the nation's hottest white-tail deer and turkey hunting grounds, not to mention other species.
Don't forget to do a little research on the Nathanial Massey Survey Crew and the settlement of the Virginia Military District. Massey was the surveyor who established the first settlement on this side of the Ohio River and established the town of Manchester in 1791, making it the second oldest town in Ohio.
