Positive: El Jardín del Convento was easy to find as it is signposted from the first roundabout coming in to Hervás. Parking is right outside the building in a pretty square. The old convent, now a private house, is delightful with many period features but it is very comfortable. The huge upstairs terrace, furnished with sofas and low tables, overlooks the private gardens and the mountain ranges beyond. My room was perfect; the bed was comfy and the bathroom was efficient with lots of hot water. The key to my room was huge and old and I loved even that part of my stay.

Negative: El Jardín is a Bed and Breakfast Casa Rural but the possibility of an evening glass of wine would have been nice but that is a minor quibble as the building is located very close to shops, bars and restaurants.
