Dunneden Carriage House is located in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Leelanau County, in Glen Arbor Township just 3 miles outside of the town of Glen Arbor on a country road just far enough away from the noisy crowds for a private and peaceful getaway, but close enough to join in all the activities when desired.
The 2 story apartment is completely furnished, including linens, well appointed, air conditioned, has Wifi and premium cable TV service. The upstairs bedroom is equipped with a king size bed and bathroom with shower. Off the bedroom is a lovely balcony to enjoy morning coffee or meals during warm weather. The downstairs includes a fully stocked kitchen appliance inventory for cooking, dishwasher and gas stove. A TV room overlooks your private garden. A small charcoal grill is provided for grilling and a stocked outdoor fire pit to enjoy an evening fire. All you have to bring with you are your clothes and groceries. Coffee and tea are provided.
The Foothills Café is just a 5 minute walk from property where you can enjoy one of their famous breakfasts. If you would like a walk on the beach or watch spectacular sunsets over Lake Michigan, there is public beach access at the end of the road 3.25 miles away. Also provided for beachgoer guests are beach chairs and beach towels. If you enjoy biking the Heritage Trail, the trail crosses the road 2.5 miles from the Carriage House.
If you are new to the area a good plan is to arrive, relax with a cool beverage and peruse all the local brochures and maps provided for guests to familiarize yourselves with all the options available for your time here in Leelanau County.
This is a NO PET rental. Love pets, but this is for those allergic to them.
Check-In Time is 3:00 p.m. and Check-Out Time is 10:00 a.m.
The owner's home is located on property, but is completely separate and divided by a garage. Here to help or assist if needed, but respect the total privacy of guests.
