1 Bedroom House with Air Conditioner, Bedding and Kitchen
Glamp in our sweet vintage camper on our farm! Sitting behind our main guesthouse (the Bunkhouse), is a 1966 Silver Streak that is set up for getting away from it all without going too far. It accommodates two people and has a small kitchen, a bath with a shower, and a deck with an outdoor combo grill/griddle. The propane stove and oven work and we have outfitted the kitchen with basic kitchen needs. Renovated with new mattresses and air conditioner, at 19 feet it's quite cozy but for someone looking for a unique stay, it fits the bill. Yes, there is a little fire pit and plenty of wood to gather from around the place.
Our property is 31 acres with lots of room to explore without going anywhere. We're kind of a destination place, so much more than just a place to crash. There are trails through our woods, big pastures to walk through, ponds to sit by, and a breeze to enjoy. If you need to work, wifi is available. But really, just bring a hammock and set it up between the two big trees right next to the camper. Be on vacation.
Our barnyard is home to 5 donkeys, 7 goats and right now, 23 chickens. We rotate the donkeys and goats through the property during the day so there are plenty of opportunities to say hi.
Camper guests have their own space apart from the areas generally used by the main Bunkhouse folks. There is a deck, a grill, a fire pit, and a small yard with easy access to the back pastures, pond, and woods. The barn and the pasture areas are shared with anyone staying here. Parking is very close to the camper in a shared lot. The big yard and grill house are reserved for Bunkhouse guests.
We live here and are around pretty much all the time. We enjoy meeting our guests but are happy to give people privacy. Our full sized guesthouse is booked most of the time. Camper visitors should expect to meet other guests at some point but living space is not shared. Camper guests should be ok with dogs running loose.
Our barnyard pets are fed twice a day in and behind the barn. They do make some noise at that time. You are welcome to join me at that time for some good goat cuddles.
UPDATE: we are now pet friendly--we do charge a fee and must limit dogs to one dog up to 40 lbs. or two 20Lb and under dogs. Please be sure to check the “pet” box when you book and are bringing your pets. Our pet fee will be added.’``. Remember, the camper is small. Ask us about your dog staying here.
The wifi out by the camper is not as fast as it is in the Bunkhouse but it does work. Not sure movies can be streamed but regular surfing works fine.
Also--this is important--if you are really tall or large, the camper may be too small for you. The beds are twin sized but only 6'3" long. The shower is best for those under 6' tall as well.
