Relish in our unobstructed lake views, wade into the warm water off our dock, snap pictures of the historic Fort Montgomery across the bay, or take the kayaks out for a paddle. After that, enjoy dinner and a glass of local wine or beer on the patio or a nice campfire in the lawn.

You’ll have the entire space to yourself. That includes our 450 sq ft tiny home, the patio, the 1/3 acre lawn, the shoreline and dock, and also the lake if you choose to take advantage of the kayaks that are on site.

***While we welcome canine companions, cats are NOT allowed at Hazel's Hideaway under ANY circumstances.***

We affectionately call our tiny home "Hazel's Hideaway," named after our sweet chocolate lab Hazel. We've created this space to be a fun and relaxing place for both humans and dogs. Please note that we also use the place ourselves throughout the summer, so signs of Hazel may be around the property. We take great pride in our cleanliness, but those with dog allergies should consider alternate accommodations.

We provide a water bowl, food bowl, and a placemat for doggie dinnertime. Dog treats and waste bags are also available for guests. There is a 20 foot tie-out in the lawn if you’d like to secure your dog outside. We have ample beach towels as well as “old” bath towels to dry off your furry friend. We'll leave a few tennis balls out so your dog can try his/her paw at dock jumping.

The kitchen includes a full size fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, double electric burner, electric griddle, drip coffee maker, wine fridge, and Ninja air fryer/convection oven.

Our outdoor patio includes a table, chairs, umbrella, citronella candles, and a daybed with many extra outdoor pillows for your use. We also provide a propane grill and a fire pit. There is also a rocking bench with attached side table down by the lake so you can sit with a glass of your favorite beverage and watch the sunsets over Fort Montgomery.

Our shoreline is a mix of rocks and clay. You'll have the best experience if you bring water shoes. While our dock extends a bit into the bay, please note that the water is very shallow (knee deep at the end of the dock), so please no jumping or diving off of it. Our Hazel loves to jump off it to fetch balls and sticks, and we love to float in tubes in the bay. (A variety of inflatables are available for guests in the shed that's on the property).

***IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ***
-We do not have WiFi service! We use our Verizon cell phones and have full service capable of streaming video with no issue while at the property. We can suggest a local coffee shop for guests who need WiFi while here.
-There will be bugs. We take pride in providing a clean home, but bugs are to be expected near the lake. We've hung a Dynatrap nearby and have bug- proofed all the windows as much as possible, but you'll want to be quick with the doors and particular with the outdoor lights at night to try to best them.
