Positive: The cottage is nice and spacious. The sleeping area is very good, beds are comfortable, both bathrooms good and clean, one has a tub the other has a shower, to meet every necessity. The dining area is large, you can also rest in the garden in front of the cottage, garden furnitures are available. The kitchen is ok, but very minimal. You can join the pool and the other village offers, everything is included in the cottage rental fee. We had dinner at the O'Garden restaurant, which is nice and offers a good variety of food. the staff of the central reception and the restaurant are very kind and helpful. There is also a small but good shop where you can buy really everything you need. The water park is huge and fitted for every taste. The cottages are located inside the wood, so the feeling is to be in a really natural environment, not a cultivated garden. very nice location. If you want to eat outside, you need to reach the nearest village at around 3-4 km by car.
Negative: We found ourselves in a complicated situation. The cottage is located inside a residence called "Village Normandy Garden", but is independent from it. From what we understood, but I am not 100% sure I got the point, each unit belongs to an independent owner, who manages it on his own behalf. There is no mention of all this in the description of the accommodation, on the contrary, it gives you the idea that the cottage is part of the village. Before our arrival we received a message with instructions to access, but no one left us the key, as indicated in the same message. There would be a dedicated reception (at least, this is what we understood, nobody to ask for information), but it was closed. The telephone number indicated in the reservation was not reachable. We then turned to the central reception of the village, where we were explained about the situation regarding the independence of the unit we rented . However, the staff was priceless and very kind, they made every effort to call and send messages to various people, until it was possible to track the person in charge of our accommodation. After about an hour a girl arrived and brought us the keys. We would have at least expected two words of apology for the mix-up, but nothing. In any case, she provided us with the correct telephone number to call in case of need, obviously when it was no longer needed. The management is really unprofessional. We found the kitchen rather dirty, the dishwasher was encrusted appearantly from some time, the sofa was quite old and unusable. The cottage is nice, but should be better managed and up-graded.
Summary: Nice cottage in a beautiful location, but extremely bad management
