A world away from it all, Hoopers' Island is actually comprised of three islands that are home to authentic, working watermen villages. The main island was allegedly obtained from the Yaocomico Indians. Bay Water Cottage is wonderfully appointed with beautiful contemporary and organic architecture. We love the shade trees, the expansive water views, the individual bedroom balconies, the deck and private dock fabulous for fishing and crabbing! If you like to paddle, take advantage of the four kayaks that are provided for guests.

Summary: We spent every rain-free moment on the dock or kayaking. And when the rain fell we had a comfortable space and perfect view. The only downside was that one of the bedrooms can only be accessed through another bedroom. That was an unwelcome surprise. In every other way the house delighted.
