Positive: It pretty much matches the pictures. Although I will say the tub is not in the middle of things as we thought, but next to the window and the master bedroom. I stayed in the 2nd bedroom, which was DARK and even with friends talking into the wee hours of the night, heard nothing. I didn't talk to the friends in the big room, but it seemed like they slept well. Everyone had their space and it was so nice having separate sleeping and socializing spaces. Also, it was great having 2 bathrooms and showes. Both bedrooms had tons of extra pillows, which the friend on the couch appreciated. As did I as a notorious pillow hoarder. I also wasn't expecting dishes like cups, so that was such a very useful surprise. The table was big enough for all 6 of us to play board games comfortably, and I bet a family could have a nice meal. I also was super happy I could set up a puzzle in the coffee table, which we worked on through the weekend. The location is great, in the Chula Vista resort. we spent a lot of time downtown on what looked like the main tourist drag, and this was probably less than 10 minutes from everything we wanted to go to. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.
Negative: We couldn't get the Jacuzzi heat to work. There are 6 buttons. On/off, one with squiggly lines, and 4 with jet symbols. One or more of the jet buttons turned on the jets, but it took us a bit to get the power of but jets off. I'm not sure why they needed 4, they didn't seem to do anything. Although 3 or 4 of us tried, no one could get the heater to work, with the jets on or off. We eventually had to empty a little water, then fill it back up with hot. Certainly not the end of the world. Also, the handles are a little screwy. I think they turned more than they were supposed to. Maybe in the future you could have some kind of guide for how to work it and what the controls mean. It may be that the tub works great and we were just dumb. But some more knowledge or institutions would have helped Again, I think this is the only real bump we came across while here, and we certainly survived.
Summary: Pretty as the picture, and the perfect spot for a weekend getaway.
