This unique home was tastefully renovated to be an ideal weekend or vacation cottage in an convenient location, very close to the center of the iconic village of Sheffield MA. An easy drive to all the cultural attractions of the Berkshires, as well as a wide range of outdoor adventures are at your fingertips. Summer or fall, walk or bike into the small town of Sheffield or drive 15 minutes to Great Barrington where you can access all the top restaurants, beloved co-operative market, and trendy shops. There is easy access to many hiking spots, including the Appalachian Trail. In the winter, its a quick drive to family friendly skiing at Butternut (20 min) AND Catamount (10 min). The cottage has all modern conveniences and furniture, including brand new beds and mattresses. While it is officially a 1 bedroom with a queen bed, the sweet loft area can sleep two on twin mattresses and the couch in the living room is a queen pullout (also new mattress). The kitchen has everything that a cook might need, including a beautiful wide, soapstone countertop with a deep sink and plenty of space for preparing a meal. Relax on the front porch in two rocking swings, in the lush perennial gardens, or on the chairs on the large deck that overlooks a grassy yard. The home is 3/4 fenced in and private (though on a main road), for relaxing or barbecuing and enjoying a meal al fresco. This cottage has been fully booked for summer and winter rentals with a previous owner, so now is your chance to spend some time at this special vacation home.
