Positive: We had the loveliest time at Casa Refúgio dos Canhas! Our host Vanessa was so nice, kind and spoke perfect English! We cannot recommend this place enough! We went to Madeira for our honeymoon and Vanessa made sure we had the best time there! She contacted us before our stay, gave us recommendations on where to eat and what to see, she also recommended the most perfect car rental place and provided us with all the needed information. Everything went extremely smoothly, she organised a honeymoon surprise for us, decorated the houes for the special occasion and provided us with some complimentary champagne, fruits and even went out of her way to get us some groceries as we got to the house late in the evening. The house itself was sparkling clean, looked exactly like in the photos and we enjoyed staying there very much! The garage was a huge perk and the location allowed us to enjoy some nice views and some needed calmness! The jacuzzi was amazing, we had towels, robes, toiletries provided as well! If you want your stay at Madeira to be special, book this place! I would especially recommend it for couples or even families as there is plenty of space, games and enough plates and everything you need in case you feel like cooking.
