Positive: Close to the park and quiet.
Negative: I tried to deal with vacassa to avoid giving a public review. They haven’t responded except to cont to ask me to give a review First, if I had paid for a typical Air BNB, I would not be so irritated, however, we paid for a higher end place as a splurge. 1) Sea view. Nope, overgrown trees offer no view of the water, to get down to the water , go through the over grown path, to a staircase held up by a downed tree , the storm was 10. Months ago, 2) The downstairs BR ceiling full of mold where there is a leak, probably from the upstairs toilet that is not solidly sealed 3) The shower upstairs filled with water within minutes, my husband had to dig out some really disgusting junk with minimal improvement. 4) We contacted Vacassa bc the code box wasn’t working. While on hold, my husband changed the battery and it did the trick, we then tried to tell them about the clogged shower and we were hung up on 5) The living area tables were thick with dust, I would think that their thorough cleaning would include basic dusting. 6) The smell. Upon entering the place, it smelled like something had died in there. We had to keep all the windows open throughout the week to keep the air fresh. We figure the cause of the smell was the previous misfortune of one of the many critters we heard running in the walls. 7) The ground surrounding the dumpster was full of garbage attracting flies and leaving a foul smell when walking down the driveway. 8)The photos of the place, probably 20 years old. The hardwoods are all well worn, the front of the house is full of overgrown bushes and trees, not a problem at all, but demonstrates the misrepresentation of the home. We frequently travel and this is the first time I have ever left a bad review bc I am pretty easy going and get that things happen. I am mostly irritated at the poor response from Vacassa. None the less, we didn’t want to ruin our trip so we decided to deal with vacassa when we got home. I have lots of pics. Still no response.
Summary: This house would be nice if not left in disrepair. Not worth the extra cost.
