Big Sky Ranch is a great place to bring the whole family, including your horses and dogs. Walk miles of trails, or take a walk down to visit our mini farm where our goats, chickens, mini horses , and our tortoise live. Relax and enjoy watching our horses graze right outside your door, feed them treats and pet their noses. Our horses are super friendly and Nester our Donkey will call on you for treats and hugs.
The space
Decorated in Southwest and 50's vintage, you will find every amenity in this comfortable and welcoming home. Enjoy a covered screened porch for rainy days, a front porch to watch the horses grazing in the fields, or a back deck to watch the sunset. Cook inside or out, or drive to town to the many different and amazing dining opportunities offered in Aiken. We have a fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, Wifi, board games, and plenty of room for your entire family. We just added a regulation billiards table for even more fun. There is a master suite with a king bed, and a large soaking tub as well as a shower. It also has a private deck for morning coffee. The second bedroom is a queen bed, and the third bedroom is a bunk bed with a full on the bottom and twin on top. The family room has a pull out queen sofa, a fireplace and the billiards table. It opens out to a screened in porch.

Bringing your horses; We have 4 stalls and three paddocks with some of our own horses inhabiting them. We can move our horses to make room for yours. Here is our current cost of accommodations:

*We would be happy to provide you with the names of local feed stores to have hay, feed and or shavings delivered before your arrival, or for an additional fee, we can get it for you. Just communicate with us and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
Trail Riding on our property is only allowed upon a signed hold harmless agreement. However, there are lots of dirt roads surrounding the property that you are free to ride at your own risk. Of course, there is the amazing 1000-acre Hitchcock Woods for a full day of riding (or hiking).
You will also be required to provide Coggins for each horse two weeks prior to your arrival.
Other things to note
No smoking is allowed inside, no exceptions. If you smoke outside please be sure that the doors into the house are closed and no smoke can get in.
REMEMBER, we are off the beaten path, so be sure to do your food shopping before you come, or soon after. NO ONE delivers out here. We provide a starter kit for items like trash bags (2), laundry pods (2), dishwasher pods (2), We also provide coffee, tea and non-dairy creamer, most major spices, oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper, 2 rolls of paper towels, and toilet paper. We have both a drip coffee maker and a French press.
We supply a charcoal grill with enough charcoal and lighter fluid for two BBQ's. We also have an outdoor fire pit, and we will supply you with wood, you might have to gather some kindling, but there are plenty of tress all around you.
To visit the petting zoo, you must make an appointment with us. The hours to visit are usually early morning during our feeding time between 7:30am-8:30am. (Closed shoes are required, and your dog must be on a leash).
Dogs are welcome for a one time fee of $75 per dog, (limit 2) and must be paid in advance.
We have stopped allowing cats at our Airbnb’s. We are cat lovers, and own two, but several potential renters are deathly allergic to them and will not be able to use our facilities if there have been cats living there. We are sorry for this inconvenience.
Lastly, we have three other Airbnb on our 125 acres but still near Big Sky Ranch, so if you would like to have other family members or friends join you, they can rent one of our other homes. We have hosted family reunions and wedding parties in the past and it works out very well.

It sleeps 6-8. The Lodge: Our newest and most fabulous of all four. Built with the wood from our property, it has a unique interior with two live trees built into the walls, a large fireplace, custom railings, and great decor. Sleeps 6-8
